Corporate Chair Massage Program

Michelle N. Johnson, LMT CIMI works her magic on hospital staff which helps them get through long, stressful work shifts.
In 2006, Essential~E Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, Inc. partnered with Children’s Memorial Hospital, to help facilitate their on-site, innovative, ground breaking Wellness Advantage program. This program was designed to bring relaxation, rejuvenation, and self-care to the nursing staff in the workplace.
Praised by Gary Scholar, nationally recognized health and wellness consultant for the American Hospital Association, and author of the groundbreaking wellness book, explicitly written for the self care of nurses entitled: Fit Nurse – Your Total Plan To Getting Fit and Living Well, Essential~E Therapeutics’ corporate massage program is expressly credited as a model for one of the most efficient ways of reducing stress in the workplace. He says, “If you are considering creating a wellness program for nurses in your facility, massage is one of the first wellness services you should consider offering.”
Often referred to as ‘Caring for the Caregiver’, or ‘Wellness in the Workplace’, our corporate massage program consists of providing 10-minute seated massages to employers and staff in order to restore the mental, physical, and emotional well-being… all perils of the busy workday.
Key EMPLOYEE benefits of the programs are:
- Increased job satisfaction
- Boosts alertness
- Manages stress
- Increases employee productivity and effectiveness
- Decrease in the severity of chronic pain symptoms
In addition to ‘feeling good’, seated massage also provides an enhanced sense of mental and physical wellness by decreasing anxiety, increasing energy, and reducing fatigue.
The program appeals to MANAGEMENT because of its low overhead costs, and ease of implementation. These benefits include:
- No costly investment in equipment or facilities
- Can be performed without interrupting daily workflow
- Massage can be done through clothing
- Massage lasts less than 20 minutes
- Reduces employee turnover, absenteeism
Our program has become some popular, it has been featured in ADVANCE for Nurses magazine, a premier publication in the nursing community. Several employees have even come to work on their days off, just to receive their massage.
All of our corporate massage packages include:
On-Site service provided by licensed and insured therapeutic massage practitioners
